Our history

Founded in 1970 in St-Lin-Laurentides, a small town located near Montreal, Maxi is an innovative, growing frozen food company specializing in processed chicken products. As a major Canadian supplier of processed chicken products, we serve customers throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Maxi has recently been awarded the local prize of Best Company 2008 in the Production & Transformation category. We are proud to dedicate this award to all of our employees for their continued support and dedication throughout the years

Our reputation

Our reputation has been built on quality, service and innovation. We have a quality-conscious culture endorsed by all our employees who undergo quality training programs on a regularly basis.

Our plant is federally registered, operating under the highest standard for food safety in Canada and compliant with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), a scientific, preventative food safety system recognized as the gold standard for food safety worldwide. We regularly evaluate and improve our ability to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a food safety issue.
HACCP

Maxi is also a certified C-TPAT member since 2005. C-TPAT is a Custom-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program which is a voluntary supply chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This program is focusing on improving the security of private companies' supply chains with respect to terrorism.
